The Australian Dance Festival is a celebration of Australia's Best in Dance! As a part of these celebrations, we want to showcase Australia's Best Dance Crews on Friday 19th Sept & Sunday 21st Sept (and NO! It's not just hip hop we're looking for!).
We know that dance is subjective, and it can be controversial to say that one dance crew is better than another, so we are introducing a unique competition, where dance teams won't be competing to come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Instead, we will be looking to award:
-
The Most Entertaining Dance Crew (Prize = $2,000 + Trophy)
-
The Best Choreographed Dance Crew (Prize = $2,000 + Trophy)
-
The Dance Crew displaying the best technical ability (Prize = $2,000 + Trophy)

WHO CAN COMPETE?
-
Each dance crew must have a minimum of 12 members
-
There is no Maximum number of competitors as long as you can fit everyone safely on the stage
-
Crew members can be of any age but not include any professional dancers
-
Each dance routine must be less than 4 minutes and 30 seconds in length
PARTICIPATION LIMIT:
A crew member may not compete in more than one (1) crew for the ABDC competition.
REGISTRATION FEES & INCLUSIONS:
-
A school registration fee of $205 is required by the school (not the students) to secure your place in the ABDC Competition.
-
Your School registration also includes the full set of High Resolution photos and video of your performance
-
Entry fee for each crew member is $300. This includes:
- A full pass to the Australian Dance Festival

We believe that every Australian dancer should strive to constantly improve and learn, and we want all the competitors in "Australia's Best Dance Crew" to embrace this philosophy which is why we want to encourage all competitors to take part in the amazing workshops over the Festival weekend.
